Two 18-year-old women were charged by Tamaqua Police in connection with an assault on a 17-year-old girl on March 10.

Police were called to the 100 block of Penn Street at 2:50 p.m. for a reported assault.

The victim said she was walking home from school, when a car pulled up alongside her as she was walking near the intersection of Race and Green streets. Two women, Gabrielle Sadusky, 18, of Arlington Street, Tamaqua, and Kaitlyn Miller, 18, of Duck Street, Girardville, jumped out and began yelling at her. Sadusky punched the victim and she fell to the ground. Miller then hit and kicked her before the two assailants jumped back in the car and drove away.

Sadusky and Miller were both charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
