Tamaqua Arts Center upcoming events

The Tamaqua Community Arts Center has announced upcoming events.

• Kids Varied Arts and Crafts will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Dec. 17. The free class is for children ages 3 and up, but donations are welcome. During the class, children enjoy a book, snack and create a themed craft.

• Paint and Sip with Wayne Yurchak will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. It will be acrylic painting on a 12-inch by 16-inch canvas. Ticket price includes all supplies as well as instruction. This is a BYOB event. All levels of painters welcome.

• Design your own clay ornaments will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7. There are six holiday ornaments that will be made using step-by-step instruction, clay, tools and paint. All ages are welcome. There is a cost for the class.

• Chris Banditelli Memorial Fund Concert will be held at 7 p.m. on Nov. 30. Gunslinger will appear with Six to Midnight and 8:17 for an evening of great music in honor of Chris Banditelli, former guitarist of Camel Toe. It is a BYOB event. Tickets available at the Tamaqua Community Arts Center. Proceeds to Chris Banditelli Memorial Fund, which helps with musical programs at the art center.

• Clay Works Family Creative Studio will present a ceramic cookie plate workshop from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 7. This class takes two sessions to complete. Tickets for the event include attending any one regular scheduled class to finish the project. All materials and a free milk glass are included in the ticket price. All ages are welcome.

• A Holiday Market will take place Dec. 14 and 15 at the center. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 14 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 15. Over 20 artisan vendors will be there selling handmade gifts.
