Schuylkill approves mobile inmate tracking system

Officials will soon have another way to keep track of inmates housed in the Schuylkill County Prison — a mobile inmate tracking system.

The Schuylkill County Commissioners entered into an agreement with Dynamic Imaging Systems of Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

Dynamic Imaging uses a program called Coretrak.

Inmates will wear a tracking device, or bracelet, which will help officials track their movements within the facility, such as their program attendance.

In other action the commissioners:

• Approved budget adjustments for Prothonotary ($200), 911 Department ($400), Public Works/Maintenance ($1,000), and Administration ($183,849). The money was adjusted within the departments to adjust line item changes.

• Entered into a one-year service agreement with Benefit Design Specialists Inc. to administer COBRA services. The agreement renews yearly.

• Approved personnel actions in the Children & Youth Department — retirement of clerk typist 2 Elizabeth Lenosky, Seltzer; promotion to caseworker 2 for Tira Rice, Ashland, at a rate of $18.96 per hour; appoint to casework 1 for Rebeka Reiner of Pine Grove, at a rate of $17.62 per hour.

• Approved a transfer in the Adult Probation Office for Rebecca Bracey of Frackville, from temporary adult probation aide to Adult Probation Officer 1, at a rate of $23.67 per hour.

• Approved the appointment of Megan Felty, Walker Township to victim advocate clerical aide in the District Attorney’s office, at a rate of $14.92 per hour.
