McAdoo Police Log

McAdoo police reported on the following arrests and citations:

• Rebecca Arroyo, 40, Nesquehoning, was charged with theft and receiving stolen property after an incident on Dec. 22. Police were dispatched to Fegley’s Mini Mart for a theft. The victim dropped a wallet in the parking lot of the gas station. When the victim returned to get their wallet, they noticed money missing.

The manager reviewed video surveillance and saw the wallet being dropped. Another customer picked it up and brought it directly inside and handed it to the cashier. Arroyo, the cashier, put the wallet in her jacket, left the store on a break, with the wallet, and returned to the store to give the wallet to the manager. Arroyo admitted to taking the money in the wallet, which totaled $22.

• Brittany Hinkle, 25, McAdoo, was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct due to an incident on Jan 5. Police were dispatched to a residence on E. Grant Street for loud music. Police knocked on the door and Hinkle refused to answer and went back upstairs. She did turn down the music. Police spoke with the victim who said the music was an ongoing issue.

• Two McAdoo residents are charged with harassment after an incident on Dec. 29, 2019, involving a birthday cake.

Police were dispatched to South Harrison Street for a domestic. Upon arrival police spoke to Carmen Rivera, 38, McAdoo, who said Joseph Baerga, 32, McAdoo, threw her to the ground onto a birthday cake. Baerga then told police Rivera threw a piece of cake at his face.

Both were cited for harassment.
