LCCC Psychology Club hosts concert

Lehigh Carbon Community College’s Psychology Club will host a benefit concert on March 23 in the Lisa Scheller and Wayne Woodman Community Services Center at the college’s main campus in Schnecksville.

The Get “Psyched” on Music concert will benefit Lehigh Valley Girls Rock, a local nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women, transgender and nonbinary people through music and art.

Lehigh Valley Girls Rock hosts events and educational workshops along with their major program, Girls Rock Camp and Let’s Rock Camp.

Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 1 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door. Water will be provided free of charge, and other refreshments will be available for purchase.

Performing bands include: Ghost Lily, a ’90s grunge band consisting of Lehigh Valley Girls Rock volunteers; Beach Bod, a chillwave rock band; Elemental Guts, a new Lehigh Valley jazz rock band; and Borrowed Soul, a folk rock band featuring LCCC Assistant Professor Gary Andrews and Psychology Club adviser and Associate Professor Beth Marquardt.

For those who cannot attend but would like to donate, or for more information, contact Gary Andrews at gandrews@lccc.edu.
