The Carbon County Commissioners acted on or discussed the following items at their weekly meeting on Thursday:

• Approved a proposal with C&D Waterproofing Corp. of Bloomsburg for the replacement of missing terra cotta tiles on the clock tower due to wind damage. The cost of the project is $4,750 and will required a high lift mobilization as well as traffic control.

• Adopted a proclamation for National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week in Carbon County.

• Commissioner Thomas J. Gerhard announced Danielle Shapiro, Jillian Saltz and Brielle Long, Jim Thorpe Area High School seniors, organized a talent show as their senior project and raised $675 for the Carbon County Animal Shelter.

• Changes of status: Shelly A. Kurdziel of Lehighton, from second deputy to acting first deputy, recorder of deeds office, effective April 12; Pierre J. Guichardan of Drums, from domestic relations director for domestic relations assistant director, effective April 15; and Bridget M. Johnston of Jim Thorpe, from domestic relations assistant director to domestic relations director, effective April 15.
