Carbon business cited by PLCB

A Carbon County business has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violation of the state liquor code.

Alfie's Pizza and Restaurant, 136 S. First St., Lehighton, was cited for sold, furnished and/or gave or permitted such sale, furnishing or giving of alcoholic beverages to a minor. The alleged offense occurred on Jan. 31.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. In addition, the judge can also impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
