State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an attempted break-in at a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the incident occurred at T&J Petroleum, 489 Pottsville-Saint Clair Highway in East Norwegian Township. The criminal attempted to gain entry to the building by smashing a rear window. Once the glass broke the alarm system sounded causing the suspect to flee. No entry was made to the building. The business is owned by Tejinder Singh Gill, of Schuylkill Haven, troopers said.The incident occurred at 5:39 a.m. on Sunday, March 9. The suspect is a male, about five-feet, 11 inches to six-feet, one-inch tall, was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with a green or black coat and he had on a backpack.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
