The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) summer volleyball league concluded its regular season last week with eight teams advancing to next week's playoffs.

Defending league champion Sandstorm capped off an outstanding season with a 23-1 overall record, which earned them the top overall seed for the playoffs.Valley Athletic Supply (21-3) and VBC Tomahawks-Seniors (18-6) finished as the second and third seeds respectively.Postseason action gets underway this Thursday at Black Diamond Park in Coaldale with two best-of-five quarterfinal matches.Anything But Net-IntensityIn a huge match that determined playoff seeding, Intensity salvaged its season with a 25-15, 25-17, 25-17 sweep of Anything But Net.
