A Tamaqua man will be cited for allowing his dog to run loose after an incident on March 20.

Police received a report of a black and white dog running loose in the area of Green and Race streets. When an officer arrived he saw the dog about halfway down Race Street. The dog then ran to 124 Race St. and entered the home through an open rear door.Cody Counterman, 18, was told he would receive a citation in the mail.
