A Monroe County man with a history of drug arrests was jailed as a result of a drug bust at his home this week, according to state police.

Matthew Kozero, 25, of Interchange Road in Polk Township, is currently being held in Monroe County jail, according to court documents. Police said they plan to file charges against Kozero after executing a search warrant at his home sometime on Sunday.He has previously been convicted of drug offenses in Monroe, Carbon and Lehigh counties.Police said that during the drug bust, they seized weapons, drugs and drug paraphernalia believed to have belonged to Kozero.At the time of the bust, Kozero was on parole from Carbon County Correctional Facility, where he had been serving 3-23 months for another drug offense. He was released from jail on June 30.That sentence resulted from a March 2015 incident where Palmerton police found 63 packets of heroin inside Kozero's vehicle during an incident on Delaware Avenue. At the time of that arrest, Kozero was on parole for another drug arrest in Lehigh County.During his sentencing for the March 2015 incident, Kozero told President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II that he was seeking help for drug addiction."I'm trying everything a person can do to take responsibility for what I've done." He added, "I'm sorry for all the harm and damage I've done to my family."State police said that Kozero was charged with similar offenses after yet another drug bust at his Polk Township home in 2013.Kozero continues to be held in Monroe County jail for the parole violation. Charges in the case are pending, according to state police.
