An arrest warrant has been issued for a Monroe County man following an incident that was reported on March 29 at 1:43 a.m.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they were contacted by a 26-year-old woman from Henryville who stated she had been assaulted at the Mount Pocono Motel by Alexander Debernardo, 31, of Tobyhanna. She said she was staying with him at the motel.The woman told officers Debernardo punched her in the face for refusing to go to a bar with him. Officers responded to the woman's home and observed recent injuries to her.Police were unable to locate Debernardo and secured an arrest warrant for him charging him with simple assault and harassment.
