State police at Fern Ridge are investigating the theft of copper piping from a Monroe County residence.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the home of Renee Karen MacKensie, 308 Westbrook Road, Sun Valley Mountain, Effort, Chestnuthill Township.Unknown criminals removed copper piping that feeds the furnace. The pipe traveled from an external tank into the house. The theft occurred sometime between 8:15 a.m. Wednesday and 6:30 p.m. Thursday.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
