August 7, 1990 Chris McLaughlin pitches three innings of scoreless relief and also races home with the tying run in the bottom of the sixth inning to help Tamaqua pull out a 4-3 walk-off win over Lansford in the Panther Valley Little League tournament. McLaughlin takes the mound trailing 3-1 but allows just one hit and strikes out six to give his team a chance. Cory Fritz singles in Jason Benner, who also singled, in the fifth to cut the deficit to one run before McLaughlin scores in the sixth on an error. Ryan Navitsky brings in the game-winner when he's caught in a rundown but beats the throw to the plate.
