Traffic stop leads to wanted person

A traffic stop led to the apprehension of a wanted person.

State police at Fern Ridge said Gerald Adams, 44, of Irvington, N.J, was stopped at 9:46 p.m. on Thursday at the Wawa store, located at the intersection of state routes 115 and 940, in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County, for a traffic violation.A routine check revealed that Adams had a warrant for his arrest issued out of New Jersey. He was arrested and is awaiting extradition back to New Jersey.
