State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a reported theft of money from a Carbon County township office.

Troopers said the theft occurred at the Penn Forest Township building at 88 Transfer Station Road. Troopers said unknown criminals removed a locked bank bag from a file cabinet drawer in the building. The bag contained about $150 in U.S. currency.The theft occurred sometime between April 9-13, troopers said. Troopers added that a video surveillance is being obtained.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
