A 13-year-old Tamaqua girl has been cited by police after failing to clean up dog waste.

The teen admitted throwing the animal waste from her yard in the 100 block of Penn Street over a fence and into the alley between her home and another home on Bowe Street on the morning of April 13.Police gave her a time frame in which to clean up the alley. When she failed to do so, she was cited for littering.
