State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two burglaries, thefts and other incidents.
A break-in occurred at 1303 Sherwood Forest Road, in Jackson Township, Monroe County. Removed from the home was copper piping, two television sets and a box of dishes. Entry occurred sometime between April 2-6. Troopers did not release the name of the victim.The second entry occurred at the residence of Dorothy Leyrer, 91, of 204 Westbrook Road, Sun Valley, Effort, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County. Troopers said unknown criminals entered the crawlspace and removed about 75 feet of copper piping. The incident occurred sometime between April 2-16.Troopers are investigating a theft and criminal mischief incident that occurred at 605 Stoney Mountain Road, in Albrightsville, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. Someone cut a piece of copper gas line on the exterior of the residence. The incident occurred sometime between Jan. 2 and April 18. The homeowner was identified as Diane Berry, 54, of Riverhead, N.Y.Jesse Ruiz, 29, of Brooklyn, N.Y., reported someone stole $800 and three puppies from his home at 1280 Glenbrook Road in Jackson Township while he was at work. The incident was reported on April 16.Stephanie A. Childress, 41, of 589 Fairgrounds Road, Gilbert, Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, reported someone smashed a window on her garage, but no entry was made. The incident occurred sometime between 7 and 9 p.m. on April 17.Someone dumped several bags of household garbage at the Route 115 Car Wash in Chestnuthill Township, according to owner Glen Getz, Kunkletown. The incident occurred sometime between 8 p.m. April 18 and 8 a.m. April 19.Anyone with information concerning any of these incidents is asked to call troopers at 570-646-2271.
