The Summit Hill Historical Society will meet at 7 tonight at the museum. All are invited to attend.Reading programPanther Valley Public Library presents "On Your Mark, Get Set, Read!" during its summer library program. Children will explore all things sports and fitness this summer. Activities will include group games, art projects and crafts.The summer reading program is free and open to children 3 to 8 with story time, special programs, prizes and more. Abbott St., Lansford, at 3 p.m. Sunday. Hear Angeli play the organ he cleaned and restored.Musical selections will include familiar religious and patriotic music, and original works by Angeli, who is providing the concert as a gift so a freewill offering can be received for St. John's organ fund.Blood driveSt. Katharine Drexel Church in Lansford, will host a Miller-Keystone Bloodmobile from 1-6 p.m. June 13.To make an appointment, call John Karnish at 570-645-3994. Attempts will be made to accommodate walk-ins as well.Golden AgersThe annual memorial Mass of the Panther Valley Golden Agers was held May 9 at St. Joseph's RC Church in Summit Hill with the Rev. James Burdess as the main celebrant with 50 members attending. Singing was provided by the members of the club. Betty Orsulak was the lector for the Liturgy.President Irene Hudasky read the names of 11 members who passed away over the past year. Following the service 36 members enjoyed a social fathering at St. John's Lutheran Church Social Hall in Lansford.The next meeting will begin at 1 p.m. May 23. Members are asked to wear their spring bonnets. Bingo will be played.
