State police at Fern Ridge reported on two crashes probed by troopers, both occurring in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
Troopers said Amber R. Gallagher, 18, of Kunkletown, was driving a 2002 Mazda Protege on Kresge Farm Road about 10 p.m. Saturday when she failed to negotiate a curve. The car traveled onto the berm and overturned onto the driver's side. Gallagher was not injured. She was cited.The second crash occurred about 2:55 a.m. on Monday along Sugar Hollow Road. Jonathan M. Mayer, 26, of Stroudsburg, was driving a 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan when he fell asleep and lost control. The van went onto the berm and struck a utility pole with the front end. The pole was split in two with wires hanging, troopers said.Mayer sustained a minor injury and was taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by West End ambulance.Troopers cited Mayer for the incident.
