The Jim Thorpe Lioness Club recently awarded three scholarships to Carbon County graduating seniors.

Gavrielle Mele, a graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School, James Riley McHugh of Marian Catholic High School, and Shane Sutch of Carbon Career & TechnicalInstitute all received $150 from the club.In addition, it was announced Christmas in July will be hosted by the Jim Thorpe Lionessat Kimmel's PersonalCare Home at 6 p.m. July 14.The club will becelebrating its 15th anniversary in August.
