Aaron William Chesney, 22, of Saint Clair was a no-show when it came time for his preliminary hearing before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on Feb. 28.

Chesney was due in court to answer to charges of leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to an attended vehicle/property, failure to stop and give aid, failure to notify police and failure to stop at a stop sign. The charges were filed by Coaldale patrolman Matthew Houser after a Dec. 18crash.All of the charges were bound over for trial in Schuylkill County court, and a warrant was issued for Chesney's arrest.Defendants in the other scheduled preliminary hearings all elected to waive their cases directly to the county court.Nathan George Fritz,28, of Tamaqua, was charged with theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed by Tamaqua patrolman Michael Hobbs in connection with a May 26incident.His bail was reduced from the original $25,000 percentage to $25,000 unsecured.Morgan L. Delvillaggio,19, of Bethlehem, faces trial on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and operating a motor vehicle without a valid inspection. The charges were filed by Coaldale patrolman Houser after a Jan. 15 incident.She was released on her own recognizance.Andrew S. Lutz,41, of McAdoo, was charged with driving under the influence and hit-and-run. The charges stem from a Dec. 30crash and were filed by Rush Township patrolman Corey Herring.He was released on his own recognizance.Travis J. Fanning,28, of Hazleton, was charged with a felony count of criminal mischief in connection with a Jan. 1 incident. The charge was filed by Tamaqua patrolman Anthony Stanell.He was released on $10,000 bond.Tamir Samir Kheiri,27, of Danville, was charged with driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, hit-and-run and failure to keep right. The charges were filed by Kline Township patrolman Frederick Lahovski after a Dec. 10crash.He was released on his own recognizance.John T. Stapleton,54, of Tamaqua, faces charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance and driving an unregistered vehicle. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Collin Leibensperger in connection with an Aug. 16, 2016, incident.He was released on his own recognizance.
