The 22nd annual Skippy Dietz Rabies Clinic will be held onSaturday at the Lake Harmony Rescue Squad Building located at 174 Lake Drive, Lake Harmony. Hours will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shots for dogs and cats will be available for $12 per shot. All animals must be in a cage or on a leash.
This clinic is dedicated in memory of Sandi Dietz, who spearheaded this clinic to combat rabies. It has been eight years since Dietz's passing. Vaccination and education continues to be the most effective weapon in combating rabies.Dog licenses for Carbon County will be sold at this time. It is the law that all dogs 3 months or older must have a dog license. Dog licenses are also available by calling other county treasurer's offices.Dr. Sharon Lachette of the White Haven Veterinary Hospital has again agreed to donate her time to administer the inoculation.For information, call 570-722-1782.
