An analysis of income and expenditures of Carbon County school districts by the State Department of Education shows that for the school year 1976-76, school districts of the county apparently kept spending below income - something that many counties cannot boast. For example, during the school year, the county's school districts enjoyed an "income," which is, general fund reciepts of $13,190,994, while expenditures amounted to $12,721,779. Income from state sources total more than $6.5 million.
