Parryville Fire Chief Troy Minnich said a fire which destroyed a Rau Residential Care Home off Cherry Orchard Road in the borough yesterday morning was accidental in nature. The T-shaped structure, only 9 1/2 years old, had seven residents, all of them led to safety by staff members and a visiting nurse. Minnich praised the work of the staff who acted professionally and swiftly. He also gave credit to the members of volunteer firefighters from eight communities who responded for their efforts.
