A Luzerne County man is facing sexual assault counts.

State police at Hazleton have charged Matthew James Meyers, 26, of 163 Acher Road, Wapwallopen, with two counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and one count each of corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor, all felonies.Meyers is accused of engaging in oral sex with a 14-year-old female on two occasions in the Council Cup Scenic Overlook parking area in Hollenback Township, on April 24-25.Meyers was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Wilkes-Barre after failing to post $50,000 straight cash bail.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 12.Troopers ask anyone who had contact with Meyers to contact them at 570-459-3890.
