Carbon fire company cited

A Carbon County fire company has been cited by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for violating the state liquor code.

Kidder Township Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, was cited during the period of Feb. 9 through March 5, for failure to have their board-approved manager complete RAMP training within 180 days of the board's approval of the appointment in violation of the state code.This charge will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
