A Berks County resident is facing a charge of retail theft following an incident at a Schuylkill County store.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said Laurie Rothermel, 48, of Hamburg, entered Redner's Warehouse Market, at 191 Manheim Road in North Manheim Township, about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.While in the store she removed the tags from a shirt and hat. She then concealed the shirt and hat in her shopping cart while she paid for other items. She then attempted to leave the store without paying for the shirt and hat, troopers said.
