Blue Mountain Health System will co-sponsor an AARP Safe Driver Renewal Class from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at the Bowmanstown Medical Plaza, 512 Bank St. in Bowmanstown.

The class is designed for drivers 50 years of age or older and is classroom instruction only. The renewal class is open to people who provide evidence of taking a class during the previous 36 months.

Drivers who complete the AARP Driver Safety Class will receive a certificate which entitles them to a rate reduction on auto insurance.

People who are interested in taking the course should confirm with their auto insurance company as to the discount percentage. The usual discount is 5 percent, and the certificate is valid for three years. AARP membership is not required.

Proof of AARP membership is required for a discount on the class. Class size is limited and registration is required at 610-377-7070.
