Andre Bowie, 43, of Long Pond, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol as a result of an incident at 10:15 p.m. May 5 at the intersection of Interstate 80 and Route 115 in Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they were assisting a disabled motorist on Route 115 when they observed Bowie driving a vehicle southbound on the wrong lanes of travel, which are separated by a physical barrier.Police said they stopped his vehicle at the entrance to the Interstate Exxon and found him to be intoxicated. The driver failed a series of sobriety tests and was transported to the Monroe County DUI Center for processing.He will be cited for DUI upon receipt of blood test results. Bowie will be cited for driving the wrong way on a divided highway.
