Marian third in Schuylkill team golf

Marian fell victim to Blue Mountain in an attempt to defend its Schuylkill League team golf title on Wednesday.

The Eagles string of 14 straight league crowns was snapped last year by Marian.Mahanoy Area finished second with a 334 team total, while the Colts were third at 335.Mark Postupack fired a team best 78 for Marian, while Austin Paisley came in at 82 and Schuylkill League Individual Champion Albert McFadden had a round of 83. Monica Wasik rounded out Marian's scoring with a 92.Pottsville finished fourth with a team total of 337.CROSS COUNTRYMarian-TamaquaTamaqua ran away with a complete in a Schuylkill League showdown against Marian.The Blue Raiders posted a 15-47 victory over the Colts, while scoring a 15-50 win over the Fillies.The Blue Raiders' Dustin Sabol led all harriers with a first place time of 19:34.
