State police at Frackville are investigating a rock throwing incident that occurred at 7:50 p.m. on Wednesday along Route 54 at W. Centre Street in the area of the Mahanoy Township municipal building in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Ronald D. Getter IV, 21, of Mahanoy City, was operating a 2014 Freightliner truck tractor eastbound when someone threw a rock at the truck. The rock smashed the windshield of the truck. The rock was thrown from the south side of the road.Getter was not injured. The truck is owned by Swift Transportation of Gary, Indiana.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
