ATV accident probed

State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating two crashes recently, including one involving an all-terrain vehicle.

Troopers said a 14-year-old male from Nazareth was southbound along Kennel Road in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County, at 1:55 p.m. on May 18 when he failed to negotiate a right curve in the road. The ATV went off the road and struck a tree.The teen sustained moderate bodily injuries, troopers said, and was taken by West End ambulance to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.A one-vehicle crash involving a Mack tractor trailer occurred about 5:52 a.m. on May 22 along Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township, Monroe County.Troopers said Courtney Johnson, 29, of East Stroudsburg, was driving eastbound pulling a trailer when he pulled onto the right shoulder to park. Johnson overturned onto its passenger side due to a soft downhill shoulder.Johnson was not injured. The right side of the truck sustained moderate damages and had to be towed from the scene.
