State police at Lehighton are investigating the theft of a kitten.

Cheyenne Labar, 20, of 1085 Fireline Road, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, reported someone removed a 6-month-old black kitten from her porch sometime on Wednesday, May 28, between 8:45 a.m. and 5 p.m. The kitten is described as being black with faint stripes, with white hairs on its mostly black fur paws. The kitten is in dire need of medical attention as it is too young to live on its own, troopers said.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 610-377-4270
