A Monroe County man has been charged with simple assault and harassment as the result of a domestic incident.

At 2:05 a.m. on Friday, Pocono Mountain Regional police responded to 1101 Seven Nations Drive, in Tobyhanna, for a report of a physical domestic incident. On scene, officers were told by a male that his son and his girlfriend were involved in an altercation.Police found the 31-year-old female in an upstairs bathroom. She told officers that David Piller, 39, of that address, had assaulted her. Police observed injuries to the female.Piller was taken into custody and charged. He was placed in the county prison in Snydersville pending arraignment.
