Two injured in Monroe crash

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred at 12:25 p.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Route 715 and Neola Road in Jackson Township, Monroe County.

State police at Fern Ridge said Trisha L. Dalton, 48, of Greenwich, Conn., was driving a 2008 Lexus southbound on 715 and failed to stop for a stop sign at the intersection with Neola Road. Her vehicle struck the passenger side of a 2005 Subaru Legacy operated by Marjorie A. Cays, 68, of Stroudsburg, who was traveling through the intersection.Cays and her passenger, Robert E. Cays, 74, same address, were injured and taken to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, by Central Pocono ambulance.Dalton and her passenger, a 14-year-old male, same address, were not injured.Traffic was detoured for about two hours due to the crash. Dalton was cited for stop signs and yield signs, troopers noted.
