A Schuylkill County driver was cited following a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 2:15 a.m. on Saturday along Route 309 in Lynn Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Samuel Depue, 20, of Andreas, was driving a 2000 Mitsubishi XTL northbound when he failed to drive his vehicle at a safe speed due to existing conditions.He lost control of the vehicle while in the right lane, went onto the berm and hit an embankment with the front passenger side. After impact, the vehicle bounced off the embankment, spun clockwise across the southbound lane and struck a guard rail on the opposite side of the road where it came to rest.Depue was not injured, but the vehicle sustained heavy damages and was towed.Troopers said Depue was cited for driving a vehicle too fast for conditions.
