Two very unique items are included in the Panther Valley Historical Society Thanksgiving display in the window of Silver Furniture in Lansford. A Winchester lever-action carbine, saddle type, with complete brass action, manufactured in 1866 and mainly used by mounted coal and iron police during the days of the Molly Maguires, is being provided by Mr. and Mrs. Nevin Flexer of Lansford. Also, a grandfather's clock made in 1865 and restored by Michael Riebe of Lansford will also be shown.
