Four crashes reported in Schuylkill County
State police at Schuylkill Haven reported on the following crashes investigated by troopers on Schuylkill County roadways.
A hit-and-run crash was reported at 9:35 a.m. on July 12 in the parking lot of King's Village Shopping Center in Norwegian Township. A parked Ford Explorer was struck by another vehicle and pushed into a light pole. The other driver fled the scene.A three-vehicle crash was reported at 7:42 a.m. on Friday along Route 209 in Tower City. Troopers said John L. Porter Jr., 41, of Tower City was driving a 1987 Jeep Comanche southbound when, for unknown reasons, he veered off the road and struck a parked 2008 GMC Sierra, pushing it into a parked 2000 Subaru Outback.Porter was injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street, Pottsville. Porter had multiple citations filed against him for the crash.A rear-end type crash was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday along Route 183 in Cressona. Troopers said Jill L. Voydik, 49, of Schuylkill Haven, was stopped in traffic when her 2008 Mercury Milan was struck in the rear by a 2014 Chevrolet Cruz driven by Phillip A. White, 26, of Wernersville, Berks County.Troopers cited White for following too closely.A two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:36 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of routes 183 and 443 in Wayne Township, in which one driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence.Troopers said Dana A. Seisler, 39, of Auburn, was driving a 2014 Toyota Highlander westbound on 443 while Barry J. Harbonic, 65, of Bernville, Berks County, was southbound on 183.Troopers said Harbonic had the green light and was traveling through the intersection when Seisler attempted a left turn to go south on 183 while having a red light. In doing so, the right mirror of the Toyota struck the front driver's side of a trailer being pulled by Harbonic.Harbonic and his three passengers, and Seisler, were all not injured.Seisler was suspected of DUI and failed field sobriety tests. She was then taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South Jackson Street, Pottsville, for a blood test. Charges will be filed, troopers said.
