A Schuylkill County man was jailed on Monday as the result of a domestic assault incident.

State police at Frackville said Timothy Lee Vidal, 28, of Cumbola, Blythe Township, was arrested following an incident at 10:40 a.m. at his residence involving his spouse.Vidal was arraigned before District Judge David A. Plachko of Port Carbon on the charge of simple assault. He was committed to the county prison in Pottsville after failing to post 10 percent of $10,000 bail.Troopers noted the victim did not require medical attention.
