A car and a dump truck were involved in a crash at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday along Route 901 (Fairgrounds Road), north of Dutchtown Road in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said Thomas A. Graydus, 54, of Pottsville, driving a 1991 International dump truck, and Anthony Lopez Jr., 20, of Shenandoah, driving a 1996 Mercury Grand Marquis, were both southbound when Lopez reached for his cellphone and failed to see Graydus slowing down.The front of the Mercury hit the rear of the dump truck, then went onto the west berm and hit an embankment, where it came to rest.No one was injured but the Mercury sustained heavy front-end damage, troopers said, while the dump truck was driven from the scene.Troopers said Lopez was cited for the crash and also for driving with a suspended license.
