State police at Frackville are investigating the theft of a large quantity of copper neutral wires from a PPL Electric Utilities site in Schuylkill County.

Troopers said PPL workers discovered that about 14 spans of wiring were cut down and stolen from a main power line network off Interstate 81 at the Delano exit near Grier City, in Delano Township.The total length of wire taken was estimated at between 2,500 and 3,000 feet. The estimated value was set at $20,000.The theft occurred sometime between noon Tuesday and 3 p.m. Thursday.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-874-5300.
