The Nesquehoning Planning Board held a meeting Wednesday evening to give approval to St. Francis of Assisi Church to combine six lots into one lot for the purpose of installing a ramp on the side of the church.
The motion was made and construction will begin next week. The new proposal will have the ramp built on the eastern side of the church with a guardrail to the back of it. This will enable the handicapped and funerals to enter the church more easily.Present for the meeting were chairperson Gerry Heffelfinger, John McArdle, Sam Kitchko, and Frank Jacobs and Zoning Officer Gene Kennedy.
