January 6, 1955 Dale Harter's last second shot in regulation forces a tie and Jim Thorpe eventually claims a 78-75 double overtime win over White Haven. Harter, who scores all three points of the second OT, finishes with a team-high 25 points. The Olympians, coached by Ossie Maehrer, receive 19 points from Marvin Hurley and 17 from Myron O'Neil. The winners, who hit 28 free throws in the contest, also get 11 from Bernie Kattner.
