The Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board has cited two Schuylkill County businesses for violation of the state liquor code.
Miners Tavern LLC, at 21 Sunbury St., Minersville, was cited for selling alcohol to a visibly intoxicated person on May 2.The Columbia Hose & Stream Fire Engine Company, at 742 W. Centre St., Shenandoah, was cited for selling alcohol to a 19-year-old on April 10. The fire company was also cited for allowing someone under the age of 18 to be in a part of the business where smoking was permitted.These charges will be brought before an administrative law judge who has the authority to impose penalties ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses and up to $5,000 for more serious ones. In addition, the judge can impose a license suspension or revocation based on the severity of the charge brought.
