The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) tipped off its annual adult winter basketball league on Wednesday evening in the Tamaqua Elementary School gymnasium.

With three games scheduled for opening night, Low Road Auto Sales, Batter's Box and Golden Spike Inn all posted comfortable victories to get their seasons started off on the right track.WEDNESDAY'S RESULTSLow Road Auto Sales-Joey B'sLow Road Auto Sales raced out to a 13-0 lead in the game's first five minutes and rolled to a 66-41 victory over Joey B's.Dave Wilson led Low Road Auto Sales with a game-high 19 points, including three three-pointers.
