A project which took several years saw its completion this morning in Jim Thorpe. One of the last of the 1946 General Motors F-3 locomotives was dedicated by the widow of one of the men who worked to purchase it in the mid 1980s. Mike Miterko, who worked with Bob Bahrs to save the old F-3, died of cancer two years ago. It is owned by Tri State Railway Historical Society of New JErsey and Anthracite Railroad Historical Society of Bucks County. It was to be used only one time by Rail Tours of Jim Thorpe.
