Lioness Club grows
The Western Pocono Lioness Club inducted three new members at its last meeting. They were B. Madlyn Reimel, Ruth Hebron and Karen Heckman.The group heard about the growth and changes at Northampton Community College as Matt Connell, West Ender and dean of the Monroe Campus, and Cathleen Canevari, major gifts officer of the Monroe Campus and also a West Ender, detailed what is happening in terms of the future addition to Monroe's NCC facility.The club's Patriotic Coloring Contest will be held June 30, at the Chestnuthill Park. More information about the free contest will follow.Rotary speakerJim Amici will address the West End Rotary Club on Thursday, May 31. Sessions will run from 6:30-8 p.m. The church is located at 126 Countryside Drive, off Route 115, across from Pleasant Valley Middle School. There will be games, skits, songs and more.
