Tamaqua police are investigating the theft of a papal flag, which had been located on the front porch of the former St. Jerome's Rectory on West Broad Street.

The flag and flagpole were taken sometime between 7:30 p.m. on July 21 and 8:30 a.m. July 22. The items are valued at $150.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at 570-668-5000 or 570-668-6100.
