A handcrafted sign used for the Salvation Army's Kidz Karnival on Aug. 5 has reportedly been stolen.

The 4-foot-by-4-foot metal sign containing the words "Caution Fun Ahead," and two metal posts were taken from a grassy lot near the Tamaqua Ambulance Garage on North Railroad Street. The theft took place sometime between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 4 and 10 a.m. Aug. 5.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call police at 570-668-5000 or 570-668-6100.
